    Hi TW,

sorry if there is a thread on this already but i need help finding aftermarket uca's.

heres the problem, i have done some reading and heard some word of bilstiens set at 0 and old man emu coils having an issue with rubbing on the coil. as of right now i am having a knocking noise on harsh bumps and have narrowed it down to my uca there is a little nick in my coil but i still have the ome coils, heard that new ucas are they way to fix this problem but dont know what to do.

what is the deal with the aftermarket ucas? im looking for something that will not break the bank but will so what i need it to do. i will be offroading lightly and also be looking for more lift the near future.

i have a 2013 prerunner, any info would help!
specific parts would be nice, just dont want to go blow a bunch of money and find out im still in the same boat as before.

    Thanks guys!!!

Front ICON extended travel 2.5 remote resi, Camburg UCA's. Rear ICON 2.0 remote res rear. Wheelers 3 leaf HD progressive AAL,

I chose Camburg BJ UCA's. They offer more clearance for the CO's and more adjustment for alignment.

No worries, they are the same as the Uni-ball ones just with a moog balljoint. Provided the extra clearance and are smooth with the ICON's

I just installed a set of Built Right UCA's with uniballs, so far very happy with the build quality and extra clearance gained on my coilovers. Running quiet and squeak free so far, only complaint I have was the poor packaging job which resulted in some gouging in the powder coating.

You guys might want to consider pulling your dust covers off your Camburg, and ICON UCA's. I have seen some horrible things happen to the uniballs inside due to moisture penetration into the cage, which then allows the balls to rust and corrode up.

Just trying to save you guys your bucks!

As for UCA's. Take your pick. There is Camburg with a 1.25" uniball. TC, and Dirt King use a 1" uniball. I would not get ICON, as they use a proprietary uniball cage, which does not allow the usage of the popular and most reliable stainless steel uniball to date made by FK. PN# WSSX16T ...

I just received my Camburg's today. Same ones. No uni-ball. How do you like them? Did you re-use the uca bolts or replace them also? Thanks.

From what I've read, only the uca's with uni-balls have issues with squeaks. Search the forum. Camburg sells two types.

I paid $470 US thru a group buy they had in April, not sure what their regular price is. You can see some of the shipping damage above the "T" in built on the UCA.20150609_175725.jpg

It probably happens more then we know, it's just that people don't touch the covers because they don't think about it and think that by adding the upper cover that essentially "seals" the top from dirt, dust, and especially mud and water, when the fact of the matter is that it doesn't and only further exacerbates the problem.

I got the SPC uca and not a problem yet. Only had them for a few months, but thankfully got them installed with my OME lift. No alignment problems. However, truck develop a wristle noise on the front passenger wheel well. That's after a few months after the lift so it might had develop from another mod or my truck is aging.

image.jpg I got the built right as well. Like them a lot, no squeeks, bushings greased and dry lube on uniball. Running 3" lift and 33x12.5 aligned perfectly. Mine didn't come with scratches though.
