I was on a good pace until I was reinstalling the passenger valve cover. I couldn't get the rear secondary air pipe to line up and got in there with a pry bar to bend it over a little. The gasket fell off and it took me 20 minutes of cussing to find it. Then upon reinstalling the passenger side coils I noticed that during my prybar move, I must have snapped off the plastic vacuum nipple on the rear secondary air solenoid. Another 20 minutes of CA gluing, epoxying and cussing and now I'm back on track. Hopefully the CA glue and epoxy hold up. I think that valve is like $500, LOL

Its alive. It runs pretty good at part throttle and the normal grandpa style driving that I do. But when you put your foot into it, it gets rich pretty quick. I have dual widebands, one in each bank. Anything close to WOT and the needles get buried at 10:1 which is the lowest my gauges will display.

I understand that one of the advertised features of the UCON is that it self-tunes for the most part. Ann of you guys know over what period of time this takes place? I suppose I should just give @Gadget a call but its too late in the day. Just curious if any of you guys know how the self tuning works.

I havent played around with mine much yet but I can hit 10, even high 9's just messin around.
I thought maybe its because I have the stage 2 tune which is intended for 2.85 pulley, headers, and y pipe. I dont have the y pipe.

Also, from a dead stop my truck wont break traction like it used to. It pauses for a split second then takes off.

I need to call Gadget tomorrow. The truck is slower in boost than it was with just the TRD tune. There are also these little mini spikes that feel like fuel cuts when at WOT or close to WOT. Normal driving it actually feels very smooth. But any throttle at all and the AFR dips down in a hurry.

You guys did email or discuss which specific aftermarket conponents you have, ao that the proper tune could be uploaded, correct?

Yes, Gadget emailed me and asked me specifics. Magnuson SC, TRD tune, stock headers, stock y-pipe, stock exhaust, URD Walbro 255/LPH pump, TRD injectors.

There's really only 3 different general maps for the ucon and TRD blower setup. And there all based off what size injectors, what cats are deleted, and the 7th. All other mods for TRD setups don't really apply to these maps. I'm sure Scott tweaks some tunes but only a rare few get that luxury

So do you know what the UCON shots for as far as a target for its auto tuning? Does it use the WRAF sensors and shoot for a certain AFR?

Correct. If you are having a tune specific related issue, and Gadget cannot solve it, then a remote tuning session is their next step.

not about restriction in this case. Its about backpressure. The URD spec U pipe is smaller than the Y pipe and I think its either on par or smaller than stock headers, but DEFINITELY makes more power than either other exhaust setup. Id believe youd get 60 HP over stock with a good tune and the URD spec U pipe. Sure, its 1K but it comes with the Y pipe and the Catback, deletes the front cats, and doesnt sound like you hacked up your exhaust with a saw either! heres a link to my videos: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4eLRaYSqYH5WDR0LXVNbG9MWW8/view?usp=sharing
