It is a concern, but I'm not really hard on my truck. While I don't anticipate breaking anything, I understand the possibility.

I haven't really settled on exactly what to do or who will do yet. Some sort of valve body upgrade, though. I'm open to suggestions. @Torspd?

Do you happen to remember the brand/model resonators you used?

Go with IPT. @XPOTRPR can testify for the VB and its new driving style.

Ok, thanks for the link. That looks like a good upgrade. The only issue I see is that the 4WD version on the URD y-pipe is shaped different and it doesn't look like two resonators will fit next to each other.

    IMG_4478.jpg

I may still be able to fit a resonator in the URD Mark3 exhaust before the muffler though. I'm just going to mount it all up, see how it sounds and go from there.

The URD website says on the 4WD y-pipe page "2WD Version pictured" or something to that effect.

I found the picture of the 4WD pipe in this thread:

@loginfailed if you can deal with the downtime, I highly recommend the valve body upgrade. They are based out of New Jersey. I got lucky and found a local member parting out their truck who had it. It has been fantastic and the truck is an animal with it's quick and firm shifts. No delay between shifts now, just a constant pull.

Do you send valve body to them or is there a DIY kit?

Most send them in. They might offer a DIY kit.

Agreed ipt did a great job on mine super easy to do. Just make sure to pack it really well when you send it to them. I didn't and it wasn't fun nor cost/time effective! Truck feels 100 times better to drive now!
