He's always returned my emails within one day. Usually within an hour or two. I suspect he's got a lot of software updates to do right now.

I thought about that too. Just concerned I might get the wrong one or one that has some issues. Then I send it to get modded, it comes back and I install it, and something goes wrong. I don't know if they messed up the mods or if it was a bad valve body.

What kind of mods do you have login failed?
Did you have bully dog or trd reflashed prior?

Yeah that would suck. Butttt, maybe they go thru everything so theres nothing to go wrong? Idk, just thinking. Would be much easier process to not be down.

Started out with 2.85 pulley, URD fuel pump upgrade and Bully Dog flash. Bully Dog flash sucked on my truck, it ran dangerously lean. Next, I bought used eBay ECU, Mongoose USB/Bluetooth cable and 24-hour sub to Toyota Techstream and flashed the eBay ECU to the TRD flash. Truck ran great. I wanted to do more so I added the UCON. The truck ran like poo due to something that the TRD flash was doing with the cam timing. So I bought another eBay ECU with stock flash and truck ran better but still like poo. With latest UCON software update truck runs pretty good.

As of now the only real mods besides the supercharger are the 2.85 pulley and the URD fuel pump upgrade. But..... I have a 2.55 pulley and 7th injector sitting on the bench. Tomorrow, FedEx will be delivering URD Spec-U headers, URD 4WD competition Y-Pipe and URD Mark 3 exhaust.

Not sure when I'll get time to install everything, maybe Sunday if I get time.

If I had any advice for someone getting a supercharger is first, decide how far you're going to go. If it's just the supercharger, don't buy the kit with the Bully Dog. Save yourself a few hundred bucks and get a TRD flash. If you're planning to go further and considering a UCON, don't flash the ECU at all. Just go straight to the UCON. The UCON works better with a stock ECU with the normally aspirated tune.

    Thanks for all the info!

I have a real similar setup as your old one, waiting to be installed:
    Trd supercharger
    2.85 stealth pulley
    Urd fuel pump upgrade

Also have a trd performance exhaust & drop in afe dry filter.

Trying to decide on trd flash or ucon. Not sure how much gains I will see for $1600, especially considering how it's a work in progress.

I forgot I do have the AFe prodry-something-or-other intake.

With UCON you'll have an upgrade path if you decide to do headers, smaller pulleys etc. UCON can control 7th injector if you decide to do that. If you decide to go catless, the UCON can take care of the check engine light you would normally get. No need for O2 simulators.

TRD flash is pretty solid though if you're keeping it simple. Nothing wrong with going that route.
