Mine did the same thing and Scott logged back in and checked a box that said iMode somewhere in the settings and those codes never came back.

Im hoping the URD intake will help balance the "too rich" afr a little (comparted to the stock or in-engine bay intakes)

UCON will control afr from 0 to 100% throttle. It keeps the system in closed loop all the time. It will adapt to your mods as well but you may need a different "stage" tune (more aggressive) if changing to headers.

It will, but it change to the open loop too.

Nows a GREAT time to ask this question:

What is meant by OPEN and CLOSED loop?

Closed loop the ECU used the wraf "O2" sensor signals to keep afr at approximately 14.7 to 1. Stoichiometric afr. In open loop the ECU doesnt care what the wrafs are doing, it just uses maf, throttle position, and I dont know what else to dump extra fuel in. Toyota sets this part of the ECU map up extra rich to keep cats from overheating and from possibly going lean at very cold temps at sea level.

Not to doubt you FinnJ but how do you know this?
The UCON stays in closed loop to keep command of the afr at all times. If it didn't then you would have to have a means of controlling mixture at high throttle settings e.g. maf calibrator.

My ScanGauge shows when it's closed and when it's open.
I have thought that too, I don't know, maybe the UCON still reads the WRAFs at background even if it's in open loop.

ScanGuage is only showing you what the UCON is telling the stock ECU. The stock ECU wants to think its in closed or open loop so thats what the UCON is telling it.

What the UCON is actually doing is the magic fair dust shit.

so its an ECU also. . .but lets the stock ECU run things until this "30%" hits. After which, the UCON takes over and feed false data to the stock. . .(I assume)

Correct...remember the UCON gets the raw engine data first, then sends happy signals back to the ecu so it thinks it's running the show. The scangauge is getting it's data from the ecu but the ECU is getting false data from the UCON.

Not really. The UCON controls all aspects of the tune. The 30% you are referring to how much adaptive control it has. If more adaptive tune is required over 30% then the guardian kicks in as a precaution to protect the engine.

Say for example you put a 2 inch pulley on the sc with stock one injectors and no other fuel mods. At wide open throttle you would have massive fuel demand and the UCON would try to keep your afr at say 11.75. Since your injectors would be wide open and not even close to providing enough fuel the afr would skyrocket! The UCON would sense that it could not control the rising afr so would actuate the guardian.

Sorry, after re-reading your post I believe that to be correct as far as the 30% being throttle input.
Not to be confused with the 30% adaptive.

yea, I should have specified: the 30% was throttle input
