Made the best of it, before the worst of it I see. I have seen exhaust shops do worse welding, so great job for a newb!

Must not have taken tooo much time either.

Hope your still high because we definitely are not going to be dry.

    Thanks, bro!

I was worried I'd be without power so I knocked it out last night.

It took me a some time to find a good feed speed and voltage setting. The guide in the welder manual was a bit conservative. Had to turn the voltage up. I think it's because I'm welding SS piping with SS wire and using 98/2 Argon/CO2 vs tri-gas. I've been told that the Helium burns a lot hotter.

What took the longest was welding the joint at the front of the y-pipe. Not much clearance up above it and I did it on jack stands so getting at the top part was challenging. I did that weld first and it's pretty nasty lol but I think I sealed it up good.

For the resonator I took the pipe off the truck which made it go really quick. Amazing how easy it is to weld when you can see and access the weld!

Haven't been high since the early 90's bro but yep more rain is coming. Went out exploring this morning. I heard that a tornado hit the storage place across the freeway from that new Buccees and there was some damage to the Buccess as well. Mayde Creek is up to the bridge which is normal but a few more days of rain won't be a good thing.

1503767341821916891731.jpg I guess Vibrant is selling a lot of 1142's lately. I'm going to build my own exhaust. This and the Magnaflow 12579 are part of the equation.

Wow that's a lot of water dude, reminds me of Sandy, I remember I worked 5 days straight and never went home. Nice job welding, maybe I'll go for a y-pipe and mk3 plus your resonator. The only thing that kept me from doing that was noise, but it sounds like you found the right combo. More importantly though, Stay safe down there

Just checked my throttle .. it's only giving me 80% with pedal to the floor. This explains why I'm only topping out at 7psi.

    Appreciate it, sir!

It's still a tad louder than I would prefer. But the drone at lower RPMs is gone.

Definitely gonna be wet on the gulf coast for a few days yet. Hopefully Harvey fizzles out quickly.

Check your mats. I had to cut a little section out of my Weathertech mat so that the pedal could reach the metal. :D

Yes, I measured the 7th at 30mm thick so I cut 30mm off the AFe intake tube.

I had to cut about an 1 1/2" off of my URD intake tubing as well to install. The blower pushes the TB over about that much. Stock intakes have no issues because of the flex hose, and box intakes have extra coupling room to slide stuff around.
