That is a good amount of g/s. If you were able to look at the graph, that load line will directly correspond with your torque output.

That's moving pretty good. I never hammer the shit out of any of my vehicles and only kept it on the floor that long for the test.

Btw, here's a dash picture my crazy ass friend sent me, guess the vehicle, lol here's a tip: with enough power you can even make a brick break 200!

Overall my truck is running great now; however, during a ride this morning I noticed some belt slip and then a burning rubber smell. Does anyone know a particular belt brand/size that works best with the 2.55 pulley?

I haven't noticed any slippage on mine. What are the symptoms besides the smell?

It's definitely belt slip, I got on the throttle, not only does the boost stop climbing, but you can hear a delay in the increasing supercharger whine

Maybe @Gadget@URD or @Torspd would have a better idea.

You can also get the specs on the standard belt from Gates and try the next size smaller? Don't have the part number handy but its on the site multiple places.

Thanks, I searched around here and couldn't find anything, but found a thread on XR-U where guys said Gates # K050705 or Gatorback 4050705 works with the TRD supercharger. Still wondering if anyone had any luck with a specific part number for a 2.55 pulley?

I'm no mathematician, so forgive me.

    3.14 x 3.00" = 9.42"
    3.14 x 2.55" = 8.07"

Belt contacts about 50% of the pulley.

    9.42" x 0.5 = 4.71"
    8.07" x 0.5 = 4.04"

    4.71" - 4.04" = 0.67"

So would the belt need to be roughly 0.5" shorter to gave the same amount of tension with a 2.55" pulley vs a 3.0" pulley?

Might even be able to go 0.75" shorter.

I think someone was using DAYCO 5050695 with the 2.55 pulley. It's an inch shorter.

You could get the pulley coated in a carbide like grit if this is a persistant problem.

Since I have a junk yard ECU, I need to update the VIN to reflect my truck's actual VIN. My state inspection is due and the OBD2 portion of the inspection does a silent VIN pull and transmits it to the state of Texas. The truck will pass with the wrong VIN in the ECU, but it throws up a flag and puts the car on a report. DPS looks at those reports and sees the. VIN you inspected does not match the VIN you scanned.

Even though the inspection is legit, the mismatched VINs make it look like you're plugging in a different truck to get a failing truck to pass.

I've worked before at a huge used car retailer before (there aren't that many this big and they have some goofy commercials so you figure it out easily) and saw the company get into big trouble because many of the techs were plugging in other vehicles to get the ones they're working on to pass. It's usually not a case of the car having a mechanical problem, but that the state requires a maximum of one incomplete emissions monitor. Many times you'll get a car that's been sitting a while or had a dead batttery and the ECU hasn't had enough drive time to pass run the OBD2 tests. So the tech is lazy and plugs in a different car so he can move on.

The location I worked at fired about 15 techs over that.

Normally one or two here and there won't raise eyebrows but tons of VIN mismatches from one station is easy for them to spot. So they moved in on the company.

Long story short, my mismatched VIN would be legit deal and easy to explain if anyone asked, but I'd rather not even be on the radar. For the sake of the station doing the inspection and my own peace of mind.

    --------

So this morning I just tried to update my VIN. Using Toyota VIN update wizard. Im using a $650 Mongoose Pro Toyota 2 MFC Bluetooth cable and a legit Toyota techstream $55 2-day subscription. Toyota Techstream and Toyota VIN wizard will not communicate with the UCON installed.

I removed the UCON and had no problems connecting Techstream or VIN update wizard. My VIN is now updated and I'm about to reinstall the UCON.

    @FinnJ its not just you...
