Anybody know the part number for C3 “smooth idler pulley”? Mine has a little wobble to it so I’d like to replace it. It looks like something I could get at Autozone or Oriellys.

Can you just replace the bearing? Should have a part number on there. As an alternative.

I think they pulley itself is slightly bent. My fault really.

I changed to the shorter SC belt. When I took off the tensioner, one of the spacers fell off and landed inside the fan shroud. I didn’t even realize it happened.

So when I put the tensioner back on, I tightened the nut down and it felt like it wasn’t getting tight. I looked down and saw the pulley was sitting crooked.

So I pulled the tensioner back off and that’s when I noticed the spacer was missing. Looked all over the place for it and finally spotted it sitting at the bottom of the shroud.

It seemed like it was wobbling when I tested it on the bench, but I just put it back together a little bit ago and with the engine running it looks like it’s probably OK. Going to figure out where to get one and swap it out later just to be safe.

Finally got out of the house today and hit dirt.

Tree branch to the back passenger window shattered it.

Then battery wiggled a little and shorted out. Now I’m worried about the ecu and ucon being ok or not.

The battery ground and the top of the battery look like they were welded.

Then while I was being pulled a block into the parking lot the strap didn’t stay tight and wrapped around the wheel and ripped a brake line.

1st time using the truck since January and I’m starting to want to throw it away.

Tough to diagnose that over the internet. Don’t have a wiring diagram handy either.

You could pull each fuse one at a time and check them individually. Just make sure they go back in the same hole they came out of. You can take a pic of the fuse box with your phone before starting. That way you have a reference to look at in case you forget which fuse goes where.

So over the weekend, I fixed and exhaust leak where the y-pipe meets the headers, added a resonator and replaced the supercharger belt with the shorter version to account for the 2.55" pulley.

I did a log this morning and between the shorter belt an cooler weather, the truck picked up 20g/s. So now its highest recorded MAF flow is 340g/s.

So the resonator doesn't add any back pressure?

Still maxes out a touch over 10psi.
It may have added some, I don’t know. It feels peppier down low, but that just may be placebo. I have two resonators back to back just before the muffler. The sound is much easier to live with now.

If it is a straight through, no. Depending on the design, it can increase exhaust velocity by reducing friction.

So if you're looking for a quieter ride, there's literally no downside other than the cost?

    Which resonator did you add?

So I'm seriously considering the UCON to replace my BD tune.

I PM'd Gadget a few days ago, but haven't heard back yet on my questions. Hoping some of you would be able to answer them here.

If I keep the BD hooked up just as a monitor, will it still be able to read & clear engine codes?

How complicated was the install process? I'm not super mechanically talented, so worried I'll have to pay someone to do this part, adding to the expense. I can change my own oil easily, just not experienced in anything above that.

I haven't upgraded my fuel pump yet - which one did you go with? I have the SC, stealth pulley & AFE headers. Also deleted rear cats, still have the front cats (high flow from AFE). I live at 6500' above sea level.

    Do it!

Installing the ucon is easy. Installing the cam gears and thermostat is a bit more challenging. The fuel pump install as well, just get the walbro urd kit.

I wanted to use the bd as well after ucon install to monitor temps and such. It’ll work kind of. It has to take turns with the ucon receiving information from the ecu. So basically it intermittently says its initializing.
I’d highly recommend buying a new or junk yard ecu so you can be free from the bd forever. You wont regret it.
