    2.55" pulley only making ~8-9 psi is your problem. Belt slippage and or bypass isn't closing all of the way, @jojotoo.

    Remove the vacuum source to the bypass valve. Cap and plug to prevent leaks. Do a test drive and see if your boost goes up. If so, then your bypass valve is a problem. If it is the same, then it is the belt.

    All of you people with smaller pulleys, did you replace the belt with the next smaller belt?

    I didn’t think it was really slipping before. I was just changing to the belt as a preventative.

    I felt a difference right away. It wasn’t slipping at high RPM really, because I was above 10psi. But it is those quick RPM changes is when it slips like when your blip the throttle. Throttle feels more responsive with the shorter belt.

    Also, before changing the belt I had a few episodes when deep into the throttle it would go womp womp womp and it felt like fuel cut. Pretty sure that was belt slip. RPM wasn’t high enough to be rev limit. It hasn’t done that again since the new belt.

    Ever since installing my blower I haven't seen the boost I thought I would see. Using a Speedhut 15psi gauge. 2.85" pulley, automatic transmission, stock exhaust. Max I see is 6.5psi floored in 4th.

    Mine w/ 2.85 was about 8psi on a really cold day it got up to 9psi.

    Close to sea level, maybe 150ft elevation.

    At 5500 ft I only get 7 psi. I didn’t go smaller on sc belt having the NST and 2.55 combo.

    Great suggestions with belt slippage and faulty bypass valve but another potential symptom could be improper bypass valve adjustment. If the adjustment stop isn't allowing the bypass valve to close all the way the pressure will be bled through the bypass valve even with no belt slippage or vacuum issues.

    TRD SC, UCON, CNG conversion, RC 6" (lifted 4"/3" air suspension) w/FOX 2.5, 315/70R17 Duratracs, RECARO seats, etc.
    I got the same 9+ PSI with stock 3.0” pulley. :eek:






    ...but I had a faulty Speedhut pressure sensor. Their answer: ”we received a shipment of them that are all reading between 1-2 PSI too high” and I got a new one which shows right.

    I ordered mine in April this year, got it in May.
