No I pieced my setup together. just did the Spec-U headers, then everything else is custom by local exhaust shops.

Here's my Borla I threw in. PN: Borla XR-1 #40943

    The Magnaflow is PN #12579. 3" in/out. 11"x5" Oval

#1) I started with stock exhaust.. and ran an Aeroturbine 2525xl in place of the factory muffler and liked it.

#2) Then I started upgrading after boost.. I originally had URD Spec-U's paired with a custom high clearance 2.25" Y pipe (no cats) into 3" piping and a Aeroturbine 3030xl. it was awful. lol

#3) Then I added cats in the Y and the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator in front of the Aero.. still no bueno..

#4) Pulled the vibrant and aero3030xl. replaced with Borla and Magnaflow mufflers.

Current: URD Spec-U's into 2.25" high clearance Y-Pipe with cats, into Borla XR-1, into Magnaflow 12579. love it. smooth, no rasp or drone. slight rumble.

Thanks for all the details and history. It helps greatly! You do have the Mag that splits into two pipes internally. This comes from all URD systems as far as I know.

Thanks XPOTRPR, I knew I had read that somebody has done this combo and liked it. I am glad you still like it and I can’t wait to try it out. In my research you have the Borla XR-1 Sportsman with a 12” case. I almost bought that, But instead went with the 16” XR-1 Multicore. The Mulitcore is supposedly a hair quieter but who knows, probably not worth the extra money for it and I’m thinking I should have just got the sportsman. The fact that your sportsman and magnaflow works great with no drone is awesome. I’m hoping for the same. If this doesn’t work like I want it to, then I’m going balls out with hi flow cat, vibrant resonator, Borla XR-1, and the Magnaflow 12579. I have a feeling I’ll be happy without the resonator though.

You will be! It should be quieter than mine and mine is very reasonable.

I think you'll like it. If anything, yours will be even better/quieter with that larger Borla. If you're just worried about the rasp/drone.. dont. you'll be good with that setup.

The thing is my hi flow cat, Login’s Vibrant resonator, and The URD magnaflow muffler is really reasonable now. With Roost’s y-pipe the wholes system is absolutely awesome. Im looking for just a hair more quiteness and I’m just tweaking things now to see what’s out there because I can’t ever leave anything alone. I’ve always like Borla sound so I’m throwing it into the mix. Great boost weather by the way. Loven it!

Figured i'd pop in here for an update on how my truck is running with the UCon.

So on january 19th, i installed 61lb injectors and had my UCon reflash with the tune for them. Truck immediately threw nothing but codes, and misfired and ran like crap. Fast forward now... After pulling the blower 3 more times and swapping back in my TRD 455cc injectors, the truck is running absolutely great again. I had a couple of truck running overly rich trouble codes thrown (p0175 and p0172) around the 1k mile mark after resetting the battery. I reset it again, and ive now driven 1600 miles+ without any codes. Truck is running phenomenally, and i can tell a big difference from when i first reset the battery compared to now. Going to gather some more data soon, but so far so good, and i think im going to leave it alone for a while..

    Currently running:
UCon w/ stage 2 tune for catless exhaust
    Maggy s/c
    455cc injectors
    2.6 qwikchange
    Roush s/c tensioner
    69.5" belt
    Walbro 255
    URD TCAI
    URD equal length headers
    JFR equal length y-pipe
    aFe 3" catback exhaust
Stage 3 Snow performance boost cooler water/meth injection (for additional fueling)
    NO FPR mod
    4.10 gears on 265/65/17s

Max MAF after 250 miles of driving was 345.3g/s

A little of this and a little of that
Just curious to know if you needed to reflash the UCON when flipping back to the 455cc injectors from the 61s?

Wondering how people with ucon are reading higher maf numbers. Obviously the maf can read more then the 322. So it’s a tuning thing.

I hit 354g/s. It is a tuning thing. The TRD tune is open loop under WOT while the ucon remains closed loop, adjusting as needed all the way. That’s probably why the maf information is capped. I would guess.

I've read 345g/s with my UCon. I also believe this is tuning related

For those of you who are curious, i spoke with Scott, and he said it is safe to run a factory y-pipe with cats on the Stage 2 Tune for the UCon. He said that the stage 2 is for the catless headers, and i should be okay with just the rear set of cats. Figured i'd put it out there for anyone curious. I was kinda worried about melting the converters

Has anyone in here had the guardian kick in after washing your truck? Mine did this earlier today. Pulled over, turned it off, turned it back on, drove the living shit out of it, and couldnt replicate the problem. Thoughts?

Not yet. Sounds weird. Do you have the URD cold air intake that wraps around to the front of the radiator?
