UFC 145 Jones vs Evans

Dana White is pretty much in PR heaven with this fight being that they are previous training partners coming from the same gym where they both got their start in the pro circuit. All the drama and bickering between the two is generating enough buzz by itself so who do y'all think is going to win? Are you going to watch it? How do you feel about the rest of the fight card?

 

I voted evans cause I don't know jones

 

Im going with Jones. I think he is going to rick roll Rashad Evan's back-stabbin' ass.

I use to be a Rashad fan, Until he turned his back on Jones when he won the title.

 

But on the other cards, Im a real big fan of Brendan Schaub. I hope he pulls of a win. He needs it.

Jones easily. rashad is talented, but bones is a freak of nature and appears untouchable at this weight. one division away though lurks anderson silva..................

 

I can't really pick who's going to win, both are so freaking talented. Both have a great shot, as long as they keep their head's cool.

I feel that Jon Jones is going to do work on Evans he will come in hard, fast, and violent and KO him within the first 2 rounds. Jones has the longest reach in the UFC right now but Evans is stronger so for Evans to win he's going to have to take it to the ground or get a good strike at Jones to knock him out.

 

Jones... hands down.

 

X2 Jones is a freak and I think he will win pretty easy. Hope MacDonald, Hominick and Bocek win.

Would like to see Hominick win to get a rematch with Aldo. The first one was a good fight.

Jones without a doubt. Doesn't surprise me that everyone on here voting for evans has never seen jones fight. Jones is absolutely amazing. He really is just a slightly bigger, younger (less experienced), american version of anderson silva. Both have devastating standup skills and super long limbs. But where silva comes from a brazillian jiu-jitsu background, jones comes from a wrestling background. Evans is just an average fighter and is about as short as it gets for the light heavyweight division (205lbs) He's only 5'11" with a 75" reach, jon jones is 6'4" with a 84.5" reach. If you're fighting a really good striker the last thing you want him to have is a MONSTER sized reach advantage. Alright so evans is screwed on standup, he can just take him to the ground right? Jones is a state champion wrestler so good luck with that one.

 

With the reach that Jones has its his only hope that or a spinning elbow for a ko.

 

I'm going for Evans...

 

I've never been an Evans fan but I think Jones is highly over rated...I think it'll be Evans by decision.

 

I've always liked Evans, yes he talks shit but he backs it up... I'm confident that Evans will beat Jones. He beat Davis, (thought to have the best wrestling in the 205 division) and Evans dominated him on the ground and standing up.
