UFC 194 - Aldo VS McGregor

Never in a million years would anyone that the Aldo McGregor fight would end that way. Dude got pegged, hard. Let the circus train roll on now. I can only imagine the shit show that went on last night.

Frankie is next for that shot. No doubt about it. I know the UFC wants to make money and will probably wait for Aldo to be cleared and will set up a rematch, but if not, it's Frankie's turn.

Rockhold was a beast. That stupid back spin kick that Weidman tried, and gave up his back in the process, was the begging of the end for him. Served him right. He had no business even trying it.

And Faber is the people's champ. Dude gets a crazy ovation anywhere he goes. People love him. Have to admit I'm a big fan of his as well.

Overall, good fights for sure. Lawler vs Condit should be great as well.

I've never...NEVER seen Weidman get abused so bad before. Rockhold was a killer in there. WOW! Much respect for him on that win.

All around great 3 night fight weekend. Loved it.

 

Read somewhere that Connor's coach told Dana that he doesn't want him to make 145 anymore. But then read somewhere as well that Connor said he wants to fight at both 155 and 145, and not vacate the belt. Guess we'll see what happens now that the circus will continue.

 

Whatever he does I just hope he keeps killin it.

 

I was in shock man...never thought it would have gone that way. Heck, I didn't see the final three fights going that way. The Jacare/Romero fight was really a toss-up and the split decision was evidence that it was really hard to judge.

As quick as the UFC is to say that Holm has to defend against Rousey, I'm surprised we don't hear an announcement for the rematch. I know that Edgar deserves the shot...but White and the UFC have to apply the same rationale to this matchup as they did Holm/Rousey.

Rockhold looked great. I think he'll take Romero inside of three rounds.

Yup....Connor said in a post fight interview that he wanted to go lightweight but only if he can retain the current belt. He said he was willing to fight enough in both weight classes, at the same time, to keep the belt. I think he'll be biting off more than he can chew.
