Chewbacca is a 2016 OR DCLB bought new on 6/19/16. This is Chewie on the day he was brought home
    20160619_125634.jpg

I shortly after debadged all the chrome, and sprayed them black and put them back on, and had the windows tinted to 5% in the back and 15% in the front
    20160706_114803.jpg

I also added American flag decals to the sides and black vinyled the Tacoma in the rear. Also derped the wheels because why not.
    TW LABOR DAY-22.jpg
    (photo cred goes to @eon_blue)

Added 3x2 ditch lights and a 21.5" light bar from @CaliRaisedLed behind the grille
    20160806_141539.jpg

Next up is new tires. I went with the Falken AT3W in 265/75/16 as I didn't want to do any trimming or a cmc just yet, but we'll see how long that lasts.

Nice build thread! I really need to start one myself....the longer I wait the harder it is to try and organize all the pics and timeline of events :annoyed:

I figured I'd start one before I add a bunch of stuff so it'll be easier to get everything coming up in order. And I had nothing better to do at work this morning

BTW that picture in this one you took is still one of my favorites of my truck, thanks for that!

My pleasure :hattip:That was at Drinkwater Flats right?

Yeah I've unfortunately put it off for too long and now, no matter what I do it's probably going to be a day long project trying to get everything organized for a properly laid out build thread...gotta get on that

Truck looks nice so far. I really like the dipped wheels. Looks much better than the stock color wheels.

Thanks! I definitely do as well. Although I might have to peel them off and redo it as the tire install took a few chunks out of some of the dip. I'll see how bad it is after I install my Kings in a few weeks and get my alignment done.

When I was blacking out the chrome on my truck, I opted to use actual wheel paint on the wheels instead of Plasti Dip.

Plasti Dip is great stuff but it comes off really easily on things that are more exposed to the elements like your wheels...even my paint gets chipped off but I imagine if they were dipped it would be a lot worse. I used this stuff called Dupli-Color matte black for my wheels

I'll look in to it. I'm probably going to end up peeling everything off and re-doing it after mod day.

Earlier this week, in preparation for the kings upgrade! Figured I'd get a head start on making it rather than go back and search through hundreds of pictures!
