The less I have to cross the firewall the better.

I wish there was a nice spot to put a decent-sized bulkhead connector and then just populate pins as needed.

@MESO, over a year ago, I modified my Puddle pod cable with the engine bay DRL signal described here in anticipation of the V5. I, too wanted stalk DRL control and was also relying on the R44 signal (illu+) on the V5/puddle harness to signal the dimming of the V5 mirror DRL at night. Is this still the case?

@MESO Ive been following these for some time, never committing to ordering until my exact need is fulfilled. I think your new versions (amber/amber) will fulfill that need. I frequently find myself on the side of the road helping others and am in need of front and rear strobes that are hidden within the factory lights.

Will the "drl" part of these lights be able to be connected to a strobe module to flash with my front and rear lights?

For the front I am going with amber/white drl boards (diode dynamics switchbacks) and instead of hooking the amber as turn signals, they will be connected to the strobe module. Rear is a little harder since I already have your total tails, so there are no more extra spots for bulbs in the reverse light section, so those are going to have to be "hide a way" strobes that I have to drill in.

Out of curiosity would the turn signal work fine without wiring in the DRL at all? That would be a nice option as well for people who do not want the DRL function.
