Is there a specific reason why to choose a trd pro auto instead of a trd or if you’re changing suspension package? Curious since the ones that go this the trd pro route is the ability to have a manual transmission which is the only difference that can be found mechanically speaking. Cheers!

I have a 2020 AG TRD PRO Manual now and driving over the woops in Baja was a pain in the ass (maybe I don't know how to drive). I also chose it for the color. Once this build is complete I intend to put both trucks up for sale, I will keep the one that doesn't sell.

Gotcha! Makes total sense, I’m ok with trucks being auto, but I was curious since you’re are removing the main part that makes a pro(aside from the color and side stamp) which is the suspension. You could get a trd or and wrap it and carry on with the suspension plans. Based on research I would go for a front Eaton e-locker. Therefore you don’t have to relay on air(compressor issues or air leaks). Since you have already the plans to do gearing, wheels and tires I would go straight to 35”s. Cheers!

If you’re doing roof rack and such go for Sherpa and bumpers do warfab.

Sherpa is on my list. Metal Tech is local to me in Oregon, I was going to see if they wanted to do some bumper and skid plate builds for it.

Lol I have the means to do a lot of things but I do not become a dick in a public forum. I simply asked. You could have just ignored me.
I was just curious if people spent over 100K on a Tacoma. that's all.

The money isn't a concern. I do plan to talk to each manufacturer. Camburg will do the install for $2400. So far I can't find a single video of their kits being driven in a Tacoma. So I intend to buy it, run it, and put up reviews on it. Same goes for the $15k skinny guy camper

You don't need to spend that kind of coin to have a capable 4x4/camp vehicle but if your intent is to look cool at the next overland expo than 100k should get you plenty of looks.

OP, Please keep posting your build as it progresses. I am interested in seeing this build come together; it’s not the direction I would necessarily go but always interested how different after market components perform. Post up a picture of your stock Solar Octane Pro as a starting point.
