I don't have a mount for it. It's just held down with some double-sided 3M adhesive tape.

Ah the 2 plastic notches in the middle of the UG threw me off. Does it stay put when you're inputing data? I might do that or velcro... haven't entirely decided what my mounting situation is gonna entail...

Very easy, but you have to take out the headliner... wah wah waaaaaah
I did it HERE with my map light and its power wire. PITA but having no wires visible makes the job all worth it... in the end. Meanwhile you're just cursing :D

Installed mine yesterday, basically pulled the weather stripping back a few inches and ran the wire back in there and installed the gauge with the window mount, had to bend the mount just right because the stupid Texas registration and inspection stickers take up the space I wanted the suction cup to be.

I just got mine today and mounted it to the windshield. I haven't had a chance to read all 60 pages of the user manueal yet . Is the gauge supposed to stay on even when the truck is turned off? Mine is currently on. Is there a way to power it down?

Does anyone know what size tank a 1999 TRD SR5 3.4L v6 has?

I looked online and searched through the forum and got anywhere from 15.1-18.0

    EDIT: 18 Gallons it is

1 way to find out. filler her up and run it till its about 1/4 tank, carry a fuel dump can around with you with 2 gallons in it (2 gallons from the Pump) don't use the marks on the side of the dump can, and run it till its empty and running on fumes. then dump the 2 gallons in and hit the Gas station. you should have a decent Idea to size. I do this with every car/truck i have ever owned. and its about spot on with the owners manual.

Just go to the link provided and follow the purchase through the ultra gauge website. Make sure you have the TacomaWorld discounted price ($50ish) and you should be good to go!

I got the dashmount with it, but I didn't like how it looked anywhere on top of the dash, even in the corners.

I opted to simply use doublesided velcro tape to mount it. I've mounted stuff using it before, and it hold up under heat and vibration for what seems like permanently.

It sits flatter than it might appear in the image.
I haven't yet figured out what I'm going to do with the cable... perhaps run it through a hole in the blank plate behind/below it and wire the GPS the same way at that time.

Do you have the ability to turn on/off your passenger side airbag? Or did you just cover it up?

Either way I like that spot but I have that damn keyed switch there

The DC doesn't have the passenger airbag enable/disable lock (baby seats go in the back I guess) it's just a blank plate.

edit: btw, I think I have it mounted high enough that I could still access the airbag lock if there was one. I didn't want it to overlap to the AC vent, so I put it high and just the corner overlaps.

I took a few more photos..

1 - more level with the gauge so you can see how high it sits
2 - the velcro mounting tape
3 - gauge remounted... higher using same tape.

Now that I've played with the mounting some, I'm going to take the mount off of the gauge and simply put tape directly onto the gauge back to mount it and make it sit flatter to the dash.

Oh chit, I didn't think it was just mounted like that-- a piece of velcro slapped on there. I thought about that but then figured it would just peel off due to the adhesive not being strong enough, this isn't the case for you?

I want to mount mine on the windshield but not sure how sturdy it is. I remember my TomTom would always fall off when off roading. Anyone with personal experience care to chime in? Was going to place it behind the steering wheel but it has its flaws.

Yeah after Looking into it, I might relocate. My headliner has the curtain air bags, I don't want to get into that mess,

    Nice looking Build BTW

What mount did you use? that's a great spot!
