Who's got what? Any benefits to one over the other? What are the pros/cons and features you like best?

Looking for firsthand feedback and install pics.

not much of a comparison, but with the ultragauge I had issues with it putting my abs into test mode. Supposedly a fix is to remove a pin from your trucks OBD port, but I rather not do that personally.

Interesting. Good to know. I've been leaning toward the Scanguage but I must admit I like the display of the Ultragauge better.

I ended up paying just a little more for the Scangauge. My speedo and fuel might be just a tad off so the SG helps a lot. No issues at all. I use RPM, MPH, AVG, and MPG as my go to gauges. Also the fact you can change the display colors or even customize is cool, if it matters to you.

The display doesn't bother me while driving at night, but it can be dimmed

I think the UG's display is perhaps more informative, with the ability to display up to 8 pieces of information on each screen (and the ability to scroll through 8 screens if enabled, I only enable 2).
The Scangauge has a few more information sources, such as trans temperature... UG still has not added support for that.

    Mounting:
Scangauge uses a connector on the pod. You can route the cable, mount the gauge, and when you park, you can put it in the glove box.

Ultragauge is attached to the cable. The only way to hide it when parked is to mount it in an obscure location (above the mirror behind the black dots on the 2nd Gen), or mount it where it is close to a concealed cubby on the dash. You can't just take it out and carry it with you without un-routing the cable.
Ultragauge looks similar to a small GPS, so I do not advise mounting in plain site on top of the dash.

Adam, if you end up going with the Scangauge get it from AdvanceAutoParts.com

That's where I got mine. Use the code 'TRT30' during checkout for 30% off (knocks off $48)

I have a scangauge. I chose it becuz of the infomation it gives and how many parameters you can add. also cause of the sleek design and ability to pic what color background u want.

The deciding factor for me was the ability of the SG to read the auto trans fuild temp.

I have an ultragauge, and have never been disappointed with it in any way. For me the deciding factor over the SG was the price and the display. I have mine set up to mostly display mpg information, (instant, average, trip average, and gallons per trip). I'm a college student, and the gallons per trip is awesome for squeezing gas money out of friends! Reset it when I leave and I can tell my buddies that it cost me exactly 1.5 gallons of gas to go to and from the ski resort :D

I've used UG before and I liked it on my buddies car...

However, if you have a derelict android cell phone, I love my BT and DashCommand set up.

Beautiful layout, highly configurable and is cheap if you already have an old phone laying around :D

Can't give you any input on SG though!

I have the UG and I like it. I don't really use it for MPG's anymore because it's just depressing in my truck lol. But it does everything I need it to do plus more. I have mine setup with 8 gauges that I like to watch on the first page. Plus the newest version of the UG can automatically change pages in timed intervals (I don't use this but I can see where it would be nice) and also has programmable refresh rates. The first one I had wouldn't do that but the one I have now does. Also, I have a standard trans. so I don't need the trans. temp gauge that the SG offers.

I have some friends that have the SG, and I have the UG. I like the UG better, as it displays more info at a glance, larger screen, etc.

Sounds like the SG is the way to go. I'm interested in monitoring trans temp and if the UG doesn't have that option then I need to look elsewhere.

x2, except I use Torque. You get like 12 screens I think and you can totally customize what gauge is where, sizes, colors, etc. Plus the phone has GPS and accelerometers built in already so you can track way more things. I run it on my Galaxy S3 (Pretty good sized screen) and love it, I paid like $16 for the bluetooth dongle and the app is $5 for the full version (there's also a free version). Here's a few screenshots:

My main one (nothing is displaying since I'm at my desk)
