I did an UltraGauge group buy and there is a lot of conversation about the features, functions, programming, mounting, etc... Once the GB closes that thread will be done so I thought why not continue those conversations in a dedicated thread, so here it is.

I don't know if this is a good spot for this or not... If you have any suggestions for a different/better one let me know and I'll request a move.

I'd like to see everyone post which model they bought along with any questions or tips.

I got the EM Plus and have not mounted it yet - it's just sitting in the bin below my HVAC controls for now.

    It's a never ending $100-$200 a week thing & still going.
Thank you for putting the buy together. I was looking at these for about a month, and I bought on Tuesday. I got the MX so I can see trans temp and all the other gauges I want. It's mounted with a horizontal cradle into an Ion bike mount. Overall I have to say I like the gauge so far and will enjoy it the more I tweak it for me. Much cheaper than multiple individual gauges.

Took a pic of my temp install, was gonna upload it. PC is making me very very mad. arrrggggg

UG on horizontal mount stuck in the CD slot. CD already in there so the player doesn't eat my UG. ;) I'll get this pic deal figured out later. Meanwhile, here's a tip: Before you do much with the UG, do a distance calibration. It's easy, but don't try it in traffic. I'm in Kansas, I don't know what traffic is. :D

    I'll bbl with a pic. maybe.... :(

I mounted mine waaaayyy to low. I need to redo it. Probably going to go above the mirror, I was just worried about all the heat from the sun hitting it.

Just got mine today. Didn't have many good options for mounting. I ordered the vertical and horizontal mount. I think the one I ended up using was the vertical mount, right over the tach. I figured there are no lights to be missed behind that and I can display my RPMs on the UG anyway, so I think this is going to be it for me. It's also out of the sun and not THAT easy to see from outside the truck through my tint. I like. IMG_6610.jpg

I would like more info on how you mounted the UG. Any pics of the mount and how it mounts?

I found this mount at Walmart today. I saw a picture of someone else's mount that was similar. I used the handlebars mount bottom half with the ultra gauges top half of a horizontal mount and ring nut. The UG ball was slightly bigger but it fit in the ball socket.

I'm running RPMs, voltage, trans temp, coolant temp, avg mpg, intake temp, fuel level and miles to empty. I mainly care about avg mpg, trans temp and voltage. But since I can fit 8 things on one page why not, lol. The only one I had to add was the trans temp.

Do any of yalls gauges draw when the truck is off? I had a parasitic draw that I was trying to track down for the longest time. It would kill my battery in 3-5 days sitting in the winter. Finally found that it was my ultra gauge. Draw disappeared when I unplugged it. Wondering if anyone else noticed this or wanted to check theirs with a multimeter?

The ultra gauge will absolutely be a parasitic draw, it doesn't power down all the way when the key is off, just shuts off the screen.

I noticed it today, and it was a concern, as my truck sits for 2 weeks at a time, but I'll just unplug it when I park it.

I believe you change the power options using one of a few different modes. Default is mode 2, UG recommends mode 1, and I think there are one or two more. The manual lists them and some of the vehicles that have problems.

Is it drawing that much?? I left my scangauge connected while the truck sat for two weeks this summer with no problems. If this gauge pulls that much I may have to reconsider using this over the SG.

Post a pic or part number for the ion bike mount. You got a good set up there.
