I am interested in removing my 3" lift kit from my 98 Taco. It makes my truck ride like a plank of wood. The spacer for my front suspension is actually put between the strut and the spring, instead of between the strut and the body. Anyway, it makes it ride extremely rough. I think the brand is Tough Country (sp?)
Long story short, I need the stock u-bolts. I saw a thread when I searched that said you can get them from autozone. Does anyone know the dimensions of the stock bolts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Kevin

P.S. I wasn't sure if this should go here or in the suspension portion. If I put it in the wrong place, I'm sorry.

98? you might still be dissaponted when you take it off that old and alot of miles( I assume ) is still goin to be a shitty ride. I have a 150k on my 99 and it rides like a tank

O.K. I feel pretty dumb now. I didn't think that the threads went down far enough for that.

If you want to be safe try to get the stock Toyota u-bolts either from a dealership or junkyard. As for the front end post a picture up and we can go from there on the safe way to remove the spacer.

its better to get new u-bolts than to reuse them. they are cheap any way.

Well, I am stationed in England right now, so the dealership is out of the question, because they are going to charge me pounds, and that's 2X the price. The junkyards over here don't normally have too many American vehicles in them. Does anyone know where to get them via internet??

Ok, I've googled and googled, and I can't come up with squat. Does ANYBODY know where I can buy stock replacement U-bolts for my Taco??? I'm going crazy trying to find them. I can't reuse the ones I have and cut them. They are old and will snap if I try to take them off. Besides, the threads wouldn't be long enough once I took out the lift.
