I was rooting around down by my cab fuse panel last night prepping for a switch/accessory install and noticed a whole bundle of connectors just tucked away not attached to anything.

I'm not worried about stuff not working per say but very curious why such a large wiring harness is just loosey-goosey back in there. I've had the truck for 6 months and just now noticed...

And while we're on the subject of "WTF is this shit supposed to do?", this wire is plugged into one of the blanks. Do I have features I could be enabling that all I need is to install the proper switch?

    Thanks for educating the ignant.

Hmmmm, that doesn't exactly make me feel too good... that's a shitload of connectors for an alarm system and why would someone pull it out?

Getting remote start is on my list of things to-do (AZ summers mean having the AC blowing before loading the kids into the would be very nice) but now I'm unsure how sketchy having that wiring in there will be to accomplish that.

So any ideas though on the connector attached to the switch blank? That one is a head scratcher as well...

Also part of alarm system? Doesn't looks like it's attached, looks more like it was just stuck in there cause it happened to fit by chance.

The one plugged in to the blank is factory. Which blank location was it clicked in to.

My 14 has heat seat plugs pushed in to the little blanks under ac controls and I have seen it before.

    A thing or two...
My 08 has the same factory plug stuck into one of the switch blanks. Mine was in the top row of blanks on my truck.
