Had Undercover tonneau for current and Gen2 DCSB Tacomas, none leaked.

Question - does the cover rubs the side of the bed/paint?

 

Not on mine. Before tightening the attachments down you have to square the tonneau with the bed sides. The GEN2 Taco Undercovers will NOT fit the Gen3 Tacos. The one I'm selling was removed from the 2017 I traded in.

 

Strooper, it will if you install it wrong.. Installed correctly it over hangs the lip of the bed about a quarter of a inch all around so that it’s not near the paint. There’s also felt on the inside corners to help just incase you install it alittle off. I’ll send you a pic to show you shortly. Its my favorite cover I have ever had. Only cover I would go to other than this one is a Diamondback cover. I just like the whole shell, no water gets in!!! It is also so light weight it comes with hooks so you can pop it off hand it in the garage and have your whole bed if needed. It’s really easy honestly! And it locks!

 

CORRECT, had one on my Gen 2 and the seal on the cover is totally difference and the bed shape is way different, it may some how fit the bed size but the bed will never actually be water proof. They won’t work!

 

That’s the gap between the cover and the paint. Installed right it won’t touch and you have a rubber flap so when you open all the water will run down and go between the cab and bed keeping the inside dry!
