    Since this uni filter doesn't appear to be a foam filter do you still need to spray it with the uni filter foam cleaner and apply the oil to it occasionally? How do you regularly maintain this uni filter?

    I've done this mod to my 2006 2.7. I think it's worth $20 to be sure the foam filter isn't in there when it disintegrates because that will surely cause a number of issues. The question is not if, but when it starts breaking apart. Last time I had the truck smogged, the tech asked me about the UNI only because he wanted to be sure I understand what it does, which I do. He approved it and strongly suggested I put the stock piece back on before I get the next smog check, just to avoid any questions and potential issues.

    04008-3520c, same part for Lexus around $20-$25. Mine’s pushing 100k so time for something I guess. I’ll see if a local stealership has it.

    Where is anyone finding this thing anymore? Amazon seemed to be the go to but they haven’t been in stock for awhile. I’m not spending $40 for the one listed there.

    Post the link I was thinking about getting another. Considering the repair is over 2 grand $40 is a drop in a bucket
