    thats not the same thing...
if your in country you have to show ID a DL would suffice. If your crossing COUNTRY lines you need proof of citizenship/passport
When I went to Korea and mexico I had to show my Passport..
If I get pulled over Im asked to show my DL

Yeah, see there's the key, the AZ law is pretty toothless. If I'm a construction foreman, I'm not going to look very hard at Pedro's Mexican visa card. I'm going to say "okay, looks like proof to me. Pedro, you start next week for 4 dollars an hour."

It's the same foreman that buys Chinese tools. Unable to see the irony of both.

Please, let's not be blind to the fact that anyone here illegally needs to GTFO! Non citizens only have the right to leave! Getting handouts at legal citizens' expense is not a right!Becoming a legal citizen is NOT the RIGHT of every non citizen around the globe. It is a priviledge to be considered as a citizen here provided you complete the process for it that is in place. Until completion and naturalization, the only right illegals have is to leave.

When I was stationed in virginia I had to check Id's at a construction site on base. THis was the first time I had ever seen a green card before! A few of the guys had military contractor ID's so I asked one of them what it was and he said it was a green card. So I proceeded them in just like anyone else.
If your gonna be here for work, why not do it legally? you'll probably make more money anyways... whats the minimun wage at $7.25 now? illegals prob make 3-4 dollars an hour..

BTW, I detest how legal citizens are descriminated against by all the concern for illegals welfare with no concern for what all this ignoring laws does for the welfare of legal citizens that could benefit from the money being pissed down the drain because our border is not being acknowledged and our laws aren't being enforced to protect our citizens and our country's welfare. Our sympathy for bad conditions around the globe comes in the form of relief and deliverance from those that would oppress the ones seeking shelter here, we do this because it's who we are. IT GIVES NO ONE THE RIGHT TO COME HERE AND TAKE IT FROM US! Come here legally or stay home and stand up and make your home tolerable, period!

and then you smile and say "here you go officer".
and you go on your way.
when he does ask for ID from an illegal and they dont have id, bam, they are effin outa here. the less illegals the less this will happen.

I'm extrapolating here, but I'm pretty confident to state that if you were a citizen of for example, Sweden, then you are not going to have to show the law your passport. If you are from out of country, you will have to show your required documents stating that you are legally residing in their country.

AZ does not issue drivers licenses to illegal immigrants. Your D.L., which should be in your possession if you are in the car, would be your "proof" of citizenship. Nobody is trying to be a hardass. AZ is trying to get a lid on what has been allowed to become a serious issue nationwide within their state. Sorry, but I find myself in full agreement with what they are doing.

Why? Because the laws were changed to require a passport to cross in and out of Mexico and Canada after 9/11.

Pregnant mexicans cross the border just to have their anchor babies and then us fucking tax payers have to fork the bill!!!I live here in AZ and looking at all the illegal mexicans on my street corners everyday makes me sick. They leave their fucking trash everywhere and have no respect whatsoever for America or what she stands for.If I ever see an illegal mexican waiving the mexican flag in my face while i'm standing on American soil i'm either gonna knock that fucker out or ship his ass back to mexico in a body bag.My country is being invaded as I type this and ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY!I say lets just go down and sit at the border and have some target practice on these illegal motherfuckers! It's time to exterminate the problem!

That's pretty much the consensus of 70% of Arizonans. Me included.
