WP_20150903_00_29_46_Pro.jpg WP_20150903_00_30_27_Pro.jpg some of my switches on my TRD off road are unlit.when I pressed the diff lock button, the backlight came on, then sputtered and went off. My guess is bulbs pr weak solder, any other ideas? Getting a solder pen next week anyways to add AUX to stock head unit.

bulbs either burnt out, terminal slightly corroded or the bulb holder is slightly tweaked from heat. no soldering should be needed... unless it's an internal circuit issue.

Some of the switch status indicator lights (small rectangle that glows amber when switch is on) are actually a clear bulb and there is an amber film in the switch. If that is the case the the clear bulb part number is 84999-10310 although the amber bulb I mentioned in the last post is just the clear bulb with an amber cap on it, so the cap can be removed.

If you want to confirm if it is a burnt out bulb I'd just swap the two bulbs in that switch and see the problem also switches positions. Should tell you if it's a bulb issue or if something else is at play like wiring or switch circuitry.

Did the led T4's work for the switches?
