I have a 2018 tacoma basic package 4 cylinder. I bought a light trailer for hauling small things like wood furniture or bags of trash. Nothing to beefy. But I want to make sure it is properly hooked up. How do I get the lights on my trailer to work?

    Welcome.

If your truck doesn't have a 4 pin flat plug, take it to either a trailer dealership or a U-Haul and have one installed.

Plug it in, start the truck, turn headlights and left turn signal on, and do a walk around to verify trailer lights. Repeat for right turn signal. If turns work, brakes work, since it's the same light bulb.
