Up the strength on wheel studs for off roading?

Has anyone upgraded their wheel studs for off roading ?
Also when getting after market wheels, is it good to get extended studs ?

 

Tacomas already have more studs them similar weight trucks, check out the 5 lugs on the 07+ Tundras. No need to upgrade for that reason. If you dont have enough thread engagement they make Extended Engagement lug nuts.

I had a clearance issue with some wheels I bought from a flea market dealer. I didn’t want to but had to use spacers, which meant my studs were too short. I wasn’t comfortable with the studs not sticking out of the front of the lug nuts. So I went with billet spacers & arp studs. Those studs were very strong and dense.

If you do end up deciding to replace your studs, that’s the brand I suggest.

I got nervous about my lug nuts because they didn't look so pretty when I removed them. I should of taking pictures of the lug nuts. They are extended lug nuts, just wasn't familiar with them.
