    Hello all,

I am a Detective from the Toronto Police Service that is looking for help locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run. This involved a pedestrian who was struck and seriously injured.

We have narrowed it down to a 2012-2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD White in colour.

Any information that could help narrow down a search such as Model, specific year, special accessories, etc would help.

    Thank you in advance. Tacoma.jpg

That's a double cab sport longbed, and others will chime in but judging by the grille it's a 2013-2015

It's a TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed (DCLB).

Can't really zero in the year any better than you have.

The tinted windows, bug deflector on the hood, and tonneau cover on the bed are all add on accessories.

You may want to try posting this in the Southern Ontario section of this forum as well. Just a thought.

Wheeler's/Alcan 5-pack leaf springs, OME 881's, de-badged, Jungle Fender Flares, Herculined bed, HomerTaco grille, Anzo headlights, clear corners,
based on the grill you are correct on the year range.
scoop on the hood makes it a PreRunner, TRD Sport or TRD Offroad trim. Since a PreRunner isn't 4WD I'd rule that out based on location/climate.
bedside decal looks more like a Sport trim to me, there appears to be a stagger/drop in the graphics in the photo you posted
    like this
    upload_2020-10-22_17-23-36.jpg
basic OEM bug guard and maybe AVS type window air channels
    upload_2020-10-22_17-25-6.jpg
the top of the bed looks a little heavy on the black trim, maybe a soft tonneau type bed cover?

Just some very quick research if its a Canada sold and registered tacoma you're looking for one outta 40,xxx tacos for a 12-15. Only real identifers is that its super white and a long bed sport to narrow it down to a more local level. For what its worth I hope you find the individual and hold them accountable.

Toronto and surrounding area is a huge area to cover. Toronto has a population now of approximately 4 million. It'll be a needle in a haystack but hopefully something will come of it.

Offroads didn't come with the hood scoop. And the wheels are the TRD Sport or Prerunner wheels.

The wheels (if they are original to the vehicle) are 17" alloys that only came on the TRD Sport package on the "PreRunner" (2WD with 6-lug nuts per wheel and same suspension height of a 4x4) or 4x4 model.

@TPS87495 if you narrow your list down and have VINs, you can get all the details by looking up the VIN on the Toyota Owners website:

By the bedside decal, it’s either a 2012 or 2013 TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed in the Super White color. The 2014-15 Sport trucks had a different bedside decal so I’m certain the truck is a 12-13. If it doesn’t have a touch screen radio then you’re looking at a 2012, but very few 2012 TRD Sports came with the touchscreen radio so there’s that to keep in mind

@TPS87495 - if you have any more photos that show the antenna on the rear of the roof better, we may be able to narrow it down more as the later years in the 2012-2015 range had a "shark fin".
