This. Sure it will get some attention

If it was modified and what not would be easier since it seems the Toyota scene is pretty close here.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I wish I had more to contribute, but everyone that has posted provided very relevant info. with details about the vehicle:
    • 2012-2015 TRD Sport
    • Double-Cab
    • Long Bed
    • Hood Deflector
    • Window Vent inserts
    • Tonneau Bed cover

Link to one of the local news story:

Here are some links to a couple (local) Classified ads in Toronto that VERY CLOSELY match the suspect vehicle:

Toronto police search for pickup truck suspected of hitting pedestrian in Etobicoke and then fleeing the scene
    By Manuela Vega Staff Reporter
    Sat., Sept. 19, 2020
Toronto police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck that reportedly hit a pedestrian in Etobicoke on Thursday, Sept. 17 and fled the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, said police.

On Thursday at around 4 p.m., police responded to a report that a vehicle had failed to remain at the scene of a collision at the intersection of Belfield Road and Martin Grove Road.

Investigators have since released a photo of the white Toyota Tacoma they are searching for.

The pedestrian was walking eastbound on the south side of Belfield Road, crossing Martin Grove Road, when a white Toyota Tacoma turned from westbound on Belfield Road to southbound Martin Grove Road, said police, striking the woman.

The truck was last seen entering Highway 409.

Police request that anyone with information contact them at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Thank you for all the help.
Here are a few more photos.
From what people are saying the 2012-2013 based on the sticker.
We can narrow down every 2012-2013 Tacoma in White by postal code.

I think we can rule these two out.
First one has the wrong style sticker and no mud flaps.
Second one does not have bug deflector nor rain guards.

That means we can definitely rule out the prerunner. So we are set on it being a sport.

not seeing any steps or window visors in those pics. everything else in my previous post seems to check out though. hope it helps narrow your search down at least a little bit!

Is it possible this person drives a lot on dirt/gravel roads? or maybe even watery roads? Judging by the amount of dirt on the sidewall makes me think so, but I can't say for certain as I don't typically drive those kinds of roads.

Pre runner doesn't exist in Canada unless it was brought up from the US.

Buying a 2wd Tacoma in Canada is pretty wild unless it’s a summer daily driver I guess

    It's 100% a 2012-2015 TRD sport 4x4 long box auto.

Unfortunately that's the most common trim and colour in Canada.

There was recently a large recall involving these trucks and you could try sharing these pictures with a nearby dealer to see if anyone recognizes it.
