    Thanks OP! I managed to update audio and nav software yesterday in my 2020 Premium with JBL.

    The updates were not recognized automatically. I had to search for OTA update, and be prompted that I am already up to date before the relevant updates on the thumb drive were recognized by the OS. After that, no issues.

    Does anyone know what it takes to update the actual map data on a 2020+ head unit? I thought that this navigation update would resolve some woefully out of date points of interest, but it's still showing logos for stores that haven't been here for nearly a decade now. Is Toyota just that far behind? I typically use AA, but I still like to keep OEM Nav as an option.

    Toyota is far behind, but if you want to update I believe you have to purchase the SD card. Whether that is directly from the dealership or it's from eBay, that is up to you. They can be pricey and I have never felt that I needed to do it. I figured once it's outdated enough I'll probably start using AA myself.

    There is an SD card you can purchase on EBay that has newer maps.

    I've seen them, but they say they're only for up to 2019 models. I haven't found a tutorial on how to update maps on a 2020+, so I'm a bit confused on how that all works.

    Download and update worked a treat. Thanks for making this easy. Will find out tomorrow if this fixes my iphone issues. Iphone 13 up to date ios drops bluetooth calls every 2-8 minutes every call. Apple is no help.

    It might be a problem with iOS 15.x rather than the Toyota software. Bluetooth connectivity issues in vehicles is turning out to be a thing in the last few iterations of iOS 15.

    Quick question, did you download and update the firmware for your 2020? Because I was just wondering what updates are there since last year’s model?     Yes, it was on the 2020. Not sure how Toyota does their updates and what they really put in them. Take a look at the Toyota link I posted and see what they say for your mod. I will say that the page does not show all of the information OP posted with the TSB but did have some of the same items. To answer your question, hell I don't know what really changed as I did the update and got out of the truck. Will have to check it out on my next drive, but to be honest I just wanted to update firmware to latest and greatest in case there were bugs, and shit it only took ten minutes so why not.

    Now my radio is perfect now, even with Alexa. I didn't know how buggy the old build I had on my radio was. Now with 164 (0101A4) this is amazing.

    Does any know how to update the audio system or dsp module?

    Anyone have any issues where the buttons on the touchscreen are unresponsive? I can control some functions with the steering wheel but none of the touch sensitive buttons do anything. Pulled the battery, checked fuses, did a soft reset - where you hold the radio's power button for like 10 seconds. Nothing helps. I want to update the software but can't navigate menus to even get to that point.
