I received an updated Warranty and Maintenance Guide today for my 2010.

    The cover letter:

Thank you for purchasing a new 2010 Toyota Tacoma. We appreciate that you chose one of our products and hope that you enjoy many years of trouble-free driving.

The 2010 Tacoma Warranty & Maintenance Guide supplied with your vehicle has been updated to include required transmission service at 60,000 and 120,000 miles. Enclosed you will find an updated 2010 Tacoma Warranty & Maintenance Guide. Please discard the guide you received with your vehicle and replace it with this update.

Specifically, if you have used your vehicle for towing, the following services are required at 60,000 and 120,000 miles:

    Driving while towing
    Replace automatic transmission fluid
    Replace front differential oil (4WD)
    Replace manual transmission oil
    Replace rear differential oil
    Replace transfer case oil (4WD)
Tighten nuts and bolts on chassis and body

Your dealer has been informed of this change and will be happy to talk to you about the appropriate services for your vehicle based on your specific driving habits.
