    I really wish they’d give us a half decent sound system considering how much the premium tech package cost.

    It is very easy to solve. The last two Tacoma's I have owned had the base system. Changed the 4 door speakers to Kickers, $200 later what a difference. I added the Subaru WRX Tweeters (made by Kicker) on the 1st one. Too much tweeter. Bet what I have sounds better then any system stock from Toyota.
