I notice a few guys on the 4runner forum have done it .

Pretty much wrap some dynamat around the stock jbl box , put a better quality sub along with a amp to match it .

Has anyone done this on the tacoma ?

Im nervous about rattle issues and sound quality with a plastic box , but I'd like to utilize it if possible . And save the hassle of buying or making another box .

What do you guys think ?

    wow thats alot of work.

I don't think anyone on here has done it. TBH it would be much less work for a lot more gain to build a new box.
