I just picked up a 2017 TRD Sport with the cheap Entune stereo in it. What are my upgrade options, given that some of the vehicle functions like lock settings are built into that thing?

Something in the $500 - $1500 range, I think. All in -- installation, speakers, stereo.

IMG_1471.jpg Here is my setup, I must be nuts to trade my truck in. I plan on getting a TRD pro forerunner so the audio system will be coming out. Possibly selling my system. Pioneer headunit Nex 8200. Works awesome to my system. Hybrid speakers with 2 amps and sub. Sound deading!!

That Pioneer setup looks nice. I want better sound and to get away from Entune.

Thank you, It does sound great. My little knob below is for my subwoofer and my USB for my music on my phone.

I've got the Kenwood Dnx893s with the IDatalink Maestro. It works great, and the Entune is gone. I have an enclosure, HAT speakers/sub, and and Arc 5-channel amp on the way from @Mr Marv . It should be ridiculous when complete. The IDatalink unit allows you to keep most of your factory accessories and read outs on the Kenwood unit.

With the maestro will you still have all of your apps as well as navigation? I have some speakers and an amp coming from Mr. Marv.. but I am interested in maybe one day replacing the head unit as well.

I was able to keep everything stock except my bluetooth mic with the Maestro. The Kenwood dnx893s gives you Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, as well as Garmin Navigation. It works great!

I installed the mic that came with the unit on my a-pillar, but I've seen posts where people have put the Kenwood mic in the stock location with good results.

If you're looking to upgrade the speakers or add a sub or amp, I would definitely still look at the @Mr Marv buy. Those are great deals on really great sounding speakers. Plus he builds the adapters. Definitely worth looking into.

I actually just ordered from him this morning. He is putting together a box to ship out to me (im overseas in Germany so its a pain), and then I will get them installed! I second recommending him though, he was very helpful in answering all my questions and getting me taken care of.
