    Look at the spindle where the ball joint bolts in. See the ground flat part? Before I have to eat my words, lol, lemme go grab a spindle and check

    Look at the spring. See the scrape marks? Either someone launched that truck and over extended it a the spindle scraped the springs OR someone scraped up the springs shoe horning an assembly in and ground down the spindle so the LCA could droop enough to get it in :)

    The 'blue' marks on the spring. The scrapes.

    First of all. That flat spot that you think is ground down...is oem. I have had many sets of oem spindles and that’s how they come

    Also the spindle on top is NOT an oem spindle for a 2nd gen. I’m guessing you have a 6” lift.

    The flat part at the top of the spindle is where you strike with a hammer to separate the UCA from the spindle. It's on every OEM spindle.

    Dude I’m joking

    The machined flat spot is OEM no question about it. I have had many oem spindles on my possetion. My spindles are oem with gussets.

    No one is taking a grinder to everyone’s spindles.

    :annoyed::bananadead:

    Grinding down the SIDE of the spindle would gain you ZERO clearance at the spring. I’m honestly amazed someone would believe that everyone is taking a grinder to their spindles

    Must be the dealer :rolleyes:
