Upper Ball Joints

    I'm having a hard time finding what i'm looking for. Maybe i'm just not typing the correct words in the search box. anyways..my upper ball joint boot is blown open on the driver's side. is there a repair boot for this? also, from looking at these UCAs they appear to be like my integra... can these ball joints be pressed in and out or does the whole UCA need replaced?

Front Suspension: OME 885 + NitroCharger 9000 shocks + 1/2" spacers for a 3" lift. Superbumps replacing stock bumpstops. Camburg ball joint UCA SS braid brake lines Future: ADS Extended length, extended length UCA BJ to increase droop capability Rear Suspension: All-Pro Expedition rear leafs, Walker Evans 27" rear shocks, extended rear brake lines (Wheelers Offroad), U -bolt flip kit, rear Timbren bumpstops. Future: Hammer Hangers, Shock relocate, ADS 12" or 14" shock. Interior: Weatherteck floor liners - front, Wet Okoles- front, ScanGauge, LED interior & map lights. Power moonroof. Exterior: Raider Cobra canopy, retrofit headlight by Insight, LED bulbs all around, modified flasher unit for LEDs. Rear diff breather mod. Front diff vibe problem, driver's side needle bearing replaced with ECGS bushing. yet to install: HID Blazer Fog Retrofit, LED Flood & Spot, + switches, fuse panel. swaybar relocate blocks (build my own)

    i'd like to just replace the boot if possible first, i'm not sure if the ball joints are worn or not yet. i'd assume they are getting close at 95K miles. i'll do some more digging and let you know if i need the UCAs.

    Replace the ball joints with messed up boots dirt and water gets in there and screws them up.

    A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
    Get you some Moog BJ's, rent you a BJ press from the parts store, and you are golden. There are replacement boots, but with the cost of new BJ's, the boots don't make sense.

    From my Haynes manual it says "it may be possible to have the balljoint pressed out of the arm by an automotive machine shop or repair shop that specializes in suspension work. A replacement part may be available as an aftermarket (non-oem) part, but this could not be confirmed at the time of this manual's writing)"

    i see aftermarket ones, i'll just assume they can be pressed out of the control arms.

    Yes the ball joint can be pressed out. They gave you the Moog replacement part numbers above. It may or may not be something you would be able to replace yourself, but they are replaceable. The Moog bj's actually come with a zirk fitting so you can grease them too
