For those of you that have been watching, thank you! For those of you just joining us, welcome! This thread is going to serve as a point of sale and ongoing FAQ thread for those of you interested. It is subject to change and this post will be edited often to accommodate new questions, products and pricing. It will be managed primarily by myself with the help Micah, Jacob and Mike aka @upTOPoverland , @NonTraditional and @3Six. Let’s get right into it, the products!

FAQs

• Why upTOP?
  • upTOP came to be because Micah, an engineer, couldn't find exactly what he wanted. He had the necessary skills and tools to build the perfect rack so that's exactly what he did.
• What are the racks built out of?
  • All racks a constructed with 6062 1/4" aluminum. We have a two layered side rail system that features both our armorTEK and grooveTEK. The bars are a 1" x 2" 80/20 extruded aluminum. The mounting feet and front fairing are also both constructed with 6062 1/4" aluminum.
• What is armorTEK and grooveTEK?
  • armorTEK is a slick little system that allows us to enhance the aesthetics of the rack on the truck while serving a functional purpose as well. The armorTEKs primary function is to hide and protect the wiring meant for rooftop accessories in a 1/2" channel between the armorTEK and grooveTEK.
  • grooveTEK is our multi-functional tie down system designed to specifically lock in the hook of Perfect Bungee Bungee Cords. The way the teeth kick back the hook is unable to slide down and out from the beating of the trail.
• What the hell is a thinFIN and why do I need it?
  • The thinFIN is our replacement and solution to the obnoxiously tall shark fin that currently resides on the roofs of our Tacomas. It is 3D printed and finished with a matte black, UV resistant coating. With our thinFIN you can pull the 'guts' of of your stock antenna and place them in ours at 1/3 the height. You still maintain all stock functions and only minor modification is required, you must solder one connection. Additionally, the thinFIN features two holes in the rear that allows you to pass up to 6 - 16 awg wires inside a splitloom per hole.
• Do you offer lighting packages?
  • Packages per say? No. BUT, we do offer lighting options 360 degrees around the truck. For the front fairing we offer cut outs for dual 10" bars, a single 30" bar or a single 40" bar. On the sides we have paired with @MESO to develop a mount that allows us to mount Baja Designs Rock Lights at a 30 degree angle downward to provide smooth ambient light on the side of the truck. For the rear, on racks equipped with a rear fairing, you will also gain the ability to mount Baja Designs Flush Mount S2s.

I am very interested in this system. Product looks to be of high quality. I myself am interested in the rack that would go on my camper shell. My shell is a Snugtop Rebel with Yakima tracks installed.
