@upTOPoverland Y'all sent me a bunch of deutsch connectors to wire up my rack as I bought the quickwire. I didn't have the tool to crimp these, so ended up splicing everything. I want to re-wire everything and use the deutsch connectors so was curious what tool you use. There are a ton of closed connector tools out there, but can't find a legit open connector tool to work with the connetors you included.

Additionally, the weather stripping on the driver side is loose due to a slightly misaligned punch hole, so there's a little slack now. What do you recommend using to stick this back down in the channel? Some type of foam or just silicone it and be done with it?

We use simple needle nose pliers to assemble pins for plugs.

As for weatherstrip, you can use either silicone or 3m foam tape. Based on how much it is pulling up, use silicone for a bigger buldge or tape if its just barely up.

Thank you for the quick response. Needles nose pliers it is for the crimps. For the weather stripping, it's a legit bulge so I'll silicone it. That metal makes it a bit unruly.

One last thing. I LOVE the wire you all included in the kit. Super easy to work with. Any chance you can tell me where you get it from? Gotta stock up on it.

@upTOPoverland I bought the Bravo rack (Order #1942SY) and wondered if you knew what the dynamic/static weights it can support. I’m planning on eventually putting a RTT on top of the cab. Do you think this wise or would it be too much weight on the cab?

    Thanks in advance.

Welllllll, if you asked Toyota, yes it would be too much weight. Somewhere buried in your manual is says something about no more than 150 DYNAMIC pounds on the roof of a double cab 3rd gen. Our rack weights just a touch over 40 lbs.

With all of that being said, no, we do not have specific dynamic or static ratings. The rack and (realistically) the roof are perfectly fine to support the weight. One of our team members runs a Tepui on his 2nd gen with a Bravo.

Short answer, please use your best judgement but you should be fine to get away with a tent.

Appreciate it! I didn’t know if the different style rack compared to the OEM would change the max weight it would be able to hold.
I wonder if the middle hole of the cab that’s not being utilized can be R&D’d for another bracket adding more strength to the base of the rack.
Thanks again. Can’t wait to install it

Installed the Bravo last night, and can’t wait to get home to install the eX on my SnugTop! I made the mistake of using a power tool for the roof bolts, but I don’t think I did any damage... There are two of those bolts that I can’t tighten all the way. I haven’t seen one up here in AK yet, and these racks are impressive!

Does this rack come with a single angled wing deflector on the front like a prinsu?

the NABR is a hybrid bed rack, not a roof rack
