Just purchased UpTop Truss Mid Height! The wait begins...

I'm moving into a new house in 4 weeks. The ship time is longer than that correct? I want to make sure I give correct address for shipping.

Anyone know where I can get more of that black safety cable? The paracord I bought to give the handles a splash of color was definitely not UV resistant so I need to swap them out already.

Here is some amber scenePOD action since I finally finished the wiring. I have each side on separate switches, through a meso overhead switch panel

im curious to see the bracket for the light in yours. I was able to fix the whistle noise by angling up the Extreme Led light but angles the light to far up. I think I figured it out and the light should sort of put pressure on the fairing.

    No problem!
No one does hood ones because of the heat. The material wouldn’t stay on the magnets well.

He is using the same light brackets we have always made. Fine adjustments make all of the difference in wind noise. Overall, our racks are still the quietest on the road.

This has not been my experience. Since my Bravo rack was installed on my front cab, it sounds like a window is cracked open 100% of the time.

No, I do not have a light bar/cutout. I did add boxes and, as expected, the noise got worse. But with nothing on the roof rack, it is still very obviously noisy. I thought the sunroof was cracked open when I drove it home post-install... I live close enough (Aurora) I would love to come see you guys and see if we can find a solution?

Side note: I am very disappointed in the install work that A&A Toppers did for this rack. They drilled multiple holes (per bolt) in my roof rack OEM channel trim and it looks like garbage. They did not use any sealer either, so water gets into the OEM rack holes. I am planning to buy replacement channel guards from the dealership and redo the rack install at some point. I am sure that is not helping. However, that being said, the noise sounds like its coming from the front fairing of the rack.

Edit: A&A Toppers did a great job installing... my topper, lol - no issues with that install. They did both at the same time.

Just finished my install and wanted to ask, do I need to use the loctite or will the silicone be adequate? It sure feels secure.

I’m super happy about this purchase. The ‘other’ rack I installed was a nightmare compared to this install. I appreciated the detailed instructions they created along with everyone contributing to this thread. Their customer service was excellent as well. Initially UPS lost my package but then found it 2 weeks later. Uptop was cool to deal with trying to fix the shipping issue.

thanks again, I’m super happy and for anyone asking about the freeway noise going 80mph, I couldn’t hear anything indifferent from driving without it.

Glad it finally made it and you got it on! it looks great! silicone should be more than enough when combined with lock washer and fender washer. We have not had any rattle loose on our truck yet.

This looks nice. I'm thinking I might go with amber instead of white rock lights. They should attract fewer bugs around a campsite. Are you happy with them? Good call on splitting the left and right sides with individual switches, too!
