too bad there is no ‘love’ button

the racks are built tough, if there is a problem with them give us a call.

Could you give us a rough estimate of how much weight that fully loaded rack had on it?

Time to order the wrench for the maxtrax pins.

Tried using them to get a stuck trooper out. Of course with the freezing rain the pins where iced over. I did manage to get the ice knock off the pins... along with a mild frostbite on two finger tips. Right now looks and feels like a first degree burn.

I'd refer back to overlanding/off-roading 101. You want everything close to center of gravity and don't really want to be top heavy in the first place. I had a bajarack prior to having my alpha rack. I switched for the accessories ,all aluminum, and closer to the roofline. Is it too premature to do a little dance because my bed rack ships out this Friday?
    :broccoli::kona::jellydance:

    Another question for yall.
I have the Smittybilt gen2 XL tent, which is approx 78".
I have the 19' DCLB, bed length approx 74".

I cannot find the length of the TRUSS rack on the site.
From photos I am guessing its about 60"???

Would I be better off centering the TRUSS rack to the bed of the truck and putting on the tent?

Or putting the rack more forward with some overhang towards the rear?

What are you installing? Because I would like to know this as well for my TRUSS bed rack.

is there a molle panel that UpTop Overland makes that fits their racks? or 3rd party one that fits UpTop?
    something like this:

to be able to comfortably stand on the roof like this?

Got the rack on today! Had a buddy with a bravo help me but I think he had an earlier version of the rack as the feet were different and the whole rack sat closer to the roof then mine. I must have messed up on lining up the hole punch because my screws were not fitting so had to remove the weather strip and make larger holes. Other then that the install went great. Looking forward to getting some use out of it.

I made one for the front of the bed..

Would be pretty easy to change it up to mount to the 80/20
How much coverage you looking for? Whole roof rack or part

Kinda an interesting idea you have there Actually..

How long from the time you ordered until it was delivered to your door? Nice rack by the way bro!

yeah. i haven't put the measurements yet, but it'd need to be something wide enough to stand safely and comfortably on top (not necessarily the whole roof coverage - thinking actually nice to keep an opening for sunroof). but may need a smaller panel on the front for also safe wide enough territory for one of the tripod legs.

or was thinking to put over camper shell roof rack.
    but would be nice.

saw prinsu and caliraised sorf of options (not exactly for this) but could work and was wondering if uptop made anything for theirs?

Does anyone know what could be causing the truck to vibrate from the roof rack? I've ensured everything on the rack is tight but still getting a bad vibration.

My buddy has a bravo rack as well and has no vibration.

Is your first load bar as far forward as it can be?

Yes I did. I have the universal rack with no light bar currently. I expected increase wind noise but not the vibration! I’ll put a light bar up there this weekend and see if that resolves the issue.

It most certainly will. Wind is catching the front slot which causes a buffering like one window open on the highway
