I had an empty lightbar hole for a little while too and I faced the same issue. Once I installed the lightbar the vibrations went away MOST of the time but every so often I hit the right/wrong combination of speed and cross wind that caused an obnoxious vibration from the front load bar.

I ended up putting a piece of black gorilla tape to span the gap between the light bar and the first load bar and that solved the vibration!

I don't get this -- I mean I do, but I don't. I have the cutout for the BD S8 40", but still have not pulled the trigger on the lightbar itself, and I get no noise and no vibration.

Do you have a picture available of how you have the gorilla tape set up? Thanks.

Part 3 of my little adventure into madness...

I finally got around to running a packet sniffer on the bluetooth traffic on the Mictuning RGBW Rock lights and I have figured out how to switch the colors on the lights, My plan (if Possible) is to add the ability to the relay control software I have been writing to be able to change the lights between; white, amber, red, and green and still maintain the ability have a Custom app to control a 4 channel Bluetooth relay board. the idea is to be able to control:

    front only
    drivers side only
    passenger side only
    rear only
    all lights on

If your interested in the basic barebones packet log and want to keep up with this in the future.. look in my build thread

    You lucky bastard..
Wanna know what my email said?

"Unfortunately our load bars are lost in transit at the moment. Your rack is literally packed minus load bars. We are anticipating them any day now but also not getting very clear answers from the freight company."

I saw another quicksand taco with a RCI rack and tent... I stopped him and asked him how he likes the setup... said he got his rack in just a couple weeks.
    I'm like... WTF man.

Don't worry, it will be awesome when it does arrive though. Once you start working on it and have it up, you want to start putting stuff all over it.

Well in an attempt to make sure everything was tight I rounded an Allen screw. Any tips on how to remove one?

Unpacked the bravo last night. Outstanding packing and even better online installation instructions. But had a laugh when I read the part about the drip rail punch process...."The video is long winded but you can skip to...." I think most of enjoy his commentary in that vid! Keep up the great work fellas.

Plans to get it put together today between rain showers. Hope to mount it too. Hole punch to be delivered today. After that I have my 8 gal water port brackets to mount and a front runner pelican cargo mount (for bx90). M6 and 1/4" is what is needed to mount to load bars from what I read on here. I don't know enough about bolt sheer strengths but M6 and 1/4" seem tiny. My point? I'd hate for the water port to become a missile IF I had to lock up the brakes. Thoughts? I don't believe I'm overthinking this so constructive feedback welcome.

    Thanks

Has anyone done anything to the back of a truss rack to keep dogs in? Im going back and forth between a truss rack and a topper. I was thinking of making a net of sorts but curious if anyone has done something similar.

No sir... You are NOT done! :p

I see bare holes cut out where scene pods are supposed to go.... You cut the inserts out...but stopped short of installing the pods..... I am calling "flag on the play".... HA!

Looks bad ass nonetheless.... Great color choice!
