Me: No ping, Ik22s, no 7th injector, og pulley. From what I've read, you should run the smaller pulley with the 7th injector. Otherwise, I wouldn't mess with your setup since its running fine.

No I'm not. I'm gonna do both. I just keep getting a check engine lean on bank one code.

That's what I was thinking but it's just started after the SC install. I have been looking for air leaks. Used all new gaskets to. Also spared car cleaner around everything and I'm not getting and change in idle. Going to start checking hoses next I guess.

Wait, you're getting a P0171 code? 'System too lean bank 1'? I had that code too shortly after I got my truck, took forever to figure out but eventually a Master Tech at Toyota discovered that a port on the back of my supercharger was uncapped, they capped it and the code went away. It's actually quite common, get it checked!

I took it to 3 dealerships for my P0171 code and 2 of them sent me away because they couldn't figure it out, one of them even told me I needed to get rid of the supercharger. They replaced my MAF sensor, 02 sensor, A/F sensor, spark plugs and wires, etc. and nothing solved the code. Eventually the third dealership had the Master Tech that was familiar with the superchargers and he diagnosed it right away. Dollars to donuts that's what's up with yours as well. There's actually a few threads on here from guys with the TRD supercharger that had the same thing happen to them, uncapped port on the back of the supercharger.

Yep @anthony250f is right, that's the port.

Yeah I'm cutting the ends and getting good rubber on all my fittings and I'll check that port also. Thanks.

Now that I think about it there's 2 ports back there I believe, the boost port then there's another one to the lower left side of it I think, the EGR port maybe? That was the one I needed to cap. But either one could throw the code if it's not properly sealed

It's sucking air through the the waste gate when it's closed.

hmm, I should check my bypass valve too. Someone mentioned to me that it not working properly could be why I'm seeing little to no boost in first gear. It opens/closes like it should but I haven't checked to see if it's sucking in air when closed or not.

Was told I could try unplugging the vacuum line going to the bypass valve and driving it a short distance to see if that solves the issue, still need to give that a try

To test it you can pull the plunger out. Plug the nipple. And see if it holds

I sprayed carb choke cleaner around everything and it idles the motor up around the plunger and with the port plugged on the SC it runs better no loping or anything.

Yeah the plunger does not hold at all. Where can I buy a new one and will it be ok to drive. If I drive it should I plug the supercharger nipple just leave it all hooked up.

Should be able to buy the bypass valve through Magnuson since they make that supercharger. I imagine you're fine to drive it around, just try to keep it out of boost.

I don't understand how people w/o the 7th injector can give any input on this; yes it is a must, the extra fuel delivery will keep everything in check. Original pulley you'd be fine. 2.2 and definitely the 2.1 you'll need more fuel.

Just ordered it that was the problem. It's Boostign some but I can't wait till I gets full boost. Probably explains why I'm getting absolutly no ping.
