    I have a 2011 4.0L, and I need to change my VC gaskets. While I'm in there, I considered installing the URD cam gears. Do these ACTUALLY help? Like, more than just a placebo thing? I'm not expecting them to feel like a supercharger, or magically get hybrid MPG. But do they really make a difference that's worth the time and money?

    @Torspd

    I've read results that show actual increases. Not large, but real.

    Very happy I did so and especially if you are replacing valve gaskets which gets 90% of the mod finished anyway. I did the cam gears, manifold spacer and OTT tune all around the same time as well as spark plugs and other normal maintenance
    World of difference. Heres one thread and there is another really long one detailing everything you need to do. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/urd-cam-gears-ott-tune.844461/#post-30206101

    Yes they do help. @JustDSM with OTT tuning, has dyno'd them i believe. Regardless, from all of the tuning before and after those being installed, they do make a difference. That difference is most noticeable after a tune for them though.

    Unfortunately, my 1GR N/A testing has had to be put on temporary hold. I have the URD Gears for my 2014, but I've not yet installed them. I will get back to the 1GR N/A Development, but, I've got my hands full with the 3G Tundra/4G Tacoma/LC250/and 6G 4Runner development.

    I'm certain they make power, but I don't have data to share for exactly how much now.
