i would probably get another one.. not a good idea to have something like that disintegrate while your driving and get plastic chunks in your trans

i thought something was wrong with your thumbnail at first glance before i clicked the pic too lol

I'd definitely get a new bushing. The short throw shift kit adds leverage directly translated to that part.
Try a different dealer if they wont order just the bushing, im sure they can get it, they probably just dont want to bother.

I don't think you are going to lose piece of that bushing into the transmission so if you need it back together for the time being put a little super glue on it and then grease it up real good...but you need to replace it sooner rather than later...
Try looking at a pick and pull or something like that??

yeah I think I will assemble the shifter for now since I will be out of town for a bit. And check local places to pick up the piece. This is annoying.

ugh here comes the hard part, I have one week to try and find a replacement part. I will go to the dealer tomorrow to try and get hooked up with a replacement or at least order one. I left the install half done for now till i figure it out. I just don't know how much online searching I can do while i'm traveling.

How is your stock shifter, any play in it? I only ask because its a 2 piece and there is rubber injected between them that can wear out over time. Getting a new one if needed isn't a total loss, but really sucks that they don't sell it separate.

It would probably cost less to have one made for it, but it won't be quick fix.

    Lots baby!
The dealer normally stocks this part. I have bought several. Should be in the $10 ~ $20 range, depending on the dealer.

When pulling these off, use a paint can opener, like what they give you at Loews or Home Depot, when buying paint.
