Is there any way to split the USB port possibly in the back of the head unit. I want to split it into two. I searched for this info in the forum but unable to find anything. Thanx.

are you trying to split it to use it for charging as well or just want to hook up multiple USB drives?

Charging a wireless iPhone mirroring device. I am trying not to splice into power wires. I just wanted to use a 5v usb charger and have the other one go to the dash like normal.

Don't mess with the head unit. Run a separate, fused power line from the battery, and wire-in an inline 12V-5V converter that you can get for $2 on eBay.

besides @0210 saying to go to the battery and not waste time with the head unit because you could fuck shit up.
    Its not even possible.
The USB port you have that you want to tap into is not for charging, it doesn't put out enough volts or amps to charge a device.
So you have to go with his suggestion or something like it.

I plan on tapping into the 12v accessory plug and add a USB port near the rear cup holders.
