means i now have 2 usb charging ports which are on all the time. and 2 extra data orts avaiable while still have my ipod cord hooked up. essentially i am hooking 2 cords into one but only using the ipod or the usb ports not both at the same time. just makes it easier to get to. my headunits usb is on the back of the radio. does this make better sense? more of a convience thing than anything else

So those 2 data ports are connected to the back of your head unit? Thus you are able to interchange whatever mp3 player etc as your input?

Also, those two constant charging ports - is there any draw on the battery if there's no device plugged in?

I'm not quite done, if I work or my truck to much my gf gets up my ass..... think it might have been her birthday yesterday... anyways i just crushed that plug in a vice gently then added wires and pluged into the fuse box in the power port fuse which I'd already pulled the relay on the back side and put a jumper in so i can have power all the time.

hope this helps if it doesn't i'm sorry and good luck
