I found a good deal on some OME CS047R.

Craigslist add states that they are off 2017. which leads me to believe these are the newer heavy duty ones?

Anything to look at in particular with used leafs? Obvious cracks ect....

Hmm I'll have to ask and see if he bought them new. Sticker and paint shows that part number.

Best case they work. Worst case they’re clapped out and sagging.

    unless it’s a hell of a deal, I’d pass.

Agree with going new unless you know the seller. Last thing you need is to to buy and install twice due to sagging springs.

Probably a good choice. The question I'd be wondering about them is WHY were they being taken off?

Are they considered the medium duty or heavy duty?

Dakar springs are very high value. You get a lot for your money even buying new. This is something I wouldn't bother with on the used market.

I bought the HD and pulled the 3rd leaf to make it MD. I wanted the flexibility to make it the HD pack if I bought a camper shell. As it sits it is a medium duty, the HD leaf has been sitting in my garage and has never been used

    ^^^ That.

The "HD" configuration is definitely excessive. You can carry 500+ pounds on an "MD" while looking from the vehicle's stance that its an empty load.

Yep CS047 is the old part number.
It'd only be a good deal if they are low mileage, mine have 81k on them and they have settled quite a bit..... i have had an ARE Z series cap on the truck since mounted......and for the record they have never squeaked....

How close are you to the leaf springs? Can you do an inspection? Do they look rusty - used? I picked up a used set of 95R’s for $300 Almost no surface rust was told that they had 3000 miles on them. I’m totally happy with them.

    95R’s going in

I’m about 3 hours from them. The guy said he bought them new and only has 500miles on them.
He’s asking less than 300. But I would need to get the hardware to mount them up.

I replaced all hardware: poly bushings, new shackles, 2 degree shims, U-bolt flip, Timbren bumpstop, greaseable bolts and leaf springs

If he has a recent receipt and they look to be in new condition as they should for the miles it might be worth it. But then again how much gas $$ will you burn driving to get them? That's gotta be two tanks at least.
