Used Truck Prices vs New ?!?!

    I ended up buying new for the same reasons most of you all did. My only regret is that I didn't pull the trigger 3 years ago when I initially began my search, they were several grand cheaper back then. The prices are just going to keep creeping up.

    I agree that the used prices are insane. I was patient and looked around, and ended up getting my '09 in late '09 ('10s were out for a couple months by then) with 6k on it for about $3,500 under sticker for a new one. That being said, I did have to wait for a good deal. I totally understand why you'd get a new one for $1,000 difference.

    I think KBB and NADA are both overvalued. I use Edmunds as a base for what my truck is worth. That being said, it appears I could still sell it today with 100k miles for about $5k less than I paid for it, which is amazing.

    They list my truck today for about $500 more then I paid new 3 years ago.... You get a better APR with new, so it makes sense to just go that route with these trucks sometimes.
