Are those attachments to a drill worth a damn?

I got new brakes from Firestone and they are nasty and make my wheels dirty quickly. It's really annoying.

Does anyone advise using these power drill attachments?

    Thank you!Snorkel_Shot_APR2020.jpg

What attachments are you refering to?

On a side note, your wheels are getting dirty from brake dust. Most Brake dust contains iron and silica compounds. Id think twice before i took a drill attatchment to my wheel in an effort to remove the brake dust. You will effectivley be compounding your wheel with brake dust.

Have a look at all the offerings for wheel/rim decontamination that are made for this specific purpose.

A long term fix would be different brake pads.

My 2016 came with wheels that are shinier then I'd like and barely get dull with ceramic pads. As stated stay away from the wheel with a spinning power tool unless it's pristine clean already and you're polishing it. Though a small circular brush on a drill for the tires would be worthy particularly for arthritic hands.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Put a set of OE pads back on it and lower your cleaning requirements.

It'll take you less than an hour right in your driveway.
