UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I know I want black, currently I'm leaning towards the XD Hoss wheels.

 

i really dont like those kind of rims IMO i like them when there offset, these are more for like a diesel truck and a bigger inch size, but hey everybody got's there flavor.

 

I'm getting new rims soon too. It's so hard to find a good looking one that has absolutely no chrome on it

 

I’m pretty hard on my wheels, my factory TRD OR wheels are all sorts of scratched up. On these wheels I like how most the wheel is tucked away deep inside.

 

Those wheels dont look to bad Jas. But to be honest with you, that didnt seem like your kind of style!! But they will look pretty sick on your truck though.

 

Who knows what I'll get, it changes almost daily. One minute I like steel wheels then I like alloy's. The only thing for certain is they need to be black and have as much tucked in as possible. It's been nice not caring about damaging my factory wheels

 

Yeah I think you should still stick with black ones. Oh I know what you mean about your mind changing daily on what wheels you want, haha. Are you going to try and stick with the same wheel size and keep your current tires, or are you going to swap everything?

 

I would like to get wheels and tires at the sime time. I'm thinking of staying with 16's for more protection on the trails and tires are cheaper... but 17's IMO do look a lot better.

None of this will likely go down until next year. Just too many other items on the list.

 

Yeah since you off-road pretty hard, 16"s would probably be the ones to go with since like you said, you got more rubber for protection.

I havent messed with my truck in a while. Been busy modding the bike up but thats slowed down as well. Next thing I might get for my truck is Avid's new rear bumper guard. Its not out yet but I have seen it and it looks pretty good!! It matches their front light bar.

 

I'd be interested for the gas tank one price depending on the straps for them

Do you have any pics of this Avid rear bumper guard? I hope they hook you up since you have been on Avid homepage for so long.

What is the price of the full set? Do you know what thickness the steel plate used is? Please excuse my lack of initiative in researching these answers myself!

Go to the Lehi Roller Mills and head straight west. You'll pass Saratoga Springs and Cedar Fort and eventually come to the 5 Mile Pass offroad area. Keep going west until it turns NW. There is a dirt parking area with a sign for rattlesnake.
