Damn! I work Saturdays

 

We can do a week day one of these days. I work Saturdays too but luckily I could call in some favors and get it covered.

 

Anybody know of a good mellow fishing hole within 2 hours of SLC??

Just rented this 2 seater bad boy for the weekend



I'm trying to convince the girl we should camp- but she's being stubborn, so if anybody knows of a sick spot that's cool to camp too that might be good leverage

I'm also obviously going to do some searching myself- just got that sucker off my truck and am psyched- so had to post

I'm not a fisherman but I bet if you called Cabalas or Sportsman's Warehouse and asked for somebody in the fishing department they could hook you up with a good spot.

 

Just swung by University of Utah's Outdoor Recreation Program

You can rent anything that would be for the outdoors- ANYTHING. We were debating stand up paddle boards, but decided on fishing instead.

Anybody can rent- but since my girl goes there, students get 20% off.

Anything on the Mirror Lake Hwy should be great for that boat....Try Washington Lake or Trial Lake...Smith and Morehouse is good too...My buddy and I each caught 30+ trout fishing the inlet there in the evening 2 weeks ago. There is camping everywhere.

 

Nuts man! Cool, I was thinking somewhere up Mirror lake hwy too- the guy who rented this to us also mentioned Trial lake. But Smith & Morehourse sounds awesome too. So it's a resounding NO for camping Just a day fishing trip

 

Hey trobocop, I own one of those old town twinotters and have had it on all those lakes. Smith and more house is great but fish deep unless you're by the inlet. Trial and mirror lake are fun too...smaller fish. I had mine out on tibble fork last Friday. If you ever want to borrow it let me know

 

Good to know, we'll probably go for smaller ones as its our first time in a long time haha. Whoa- that would be awesome!

 

Anyone have a recommend on a good place to have a new muffler welded?

They did my exhaust relocate for my skids and welded the plates for my cabmount chop.

They also do a lot of work for the Wasatch Cruisers group.

 

Thanks. Any idea on what price to expect for a chop and weld?

 

I think it depends if they need to move any of the hangers. I doubt it would be that much if it's a simple cut and weld.

Call ask for Fritz, remind him he did a bunch of work on a buddy's (me) white Tacoma (exhaust relocate & welded plated to body mount) I would be shocked if he didn't take good care of you.

skiing/riding? riding what? where in Utah? i don't do any skiing, but i may be passing through SLC on my way to Uintah/Roy in about 10 days or so.
